The Orchards, a Greensleeves Care home in Ely, has expanded its management team with the appointment of two support managers alongside new home manager, Sam Humphreys.
With a collective 70+ years’ experience in care, the new team members are bringing knowledge and insight from the sector as well as grand plans for the home.
As Care and Compliance Manager, Ivan Heviamoovima will provide support to the care team, ensuring that Greensleeves Care’s high standards are consistently maintained. Lea Butler, Business Support Manager, will be working closely alongside Sam, managing team members across reception, kitchen, maintenance and housekeeping and promoting high standards of service to residents and visitors.
The additional management ensures colleagues across the home are supported in their day-to-day roles and will encourage a cohesive approach to care.
The Orchards boasts an already-established team of dedicated professionals, who have contributed to the home’s excellent reputation in the area since its opening in 2019. Now, with a ‘Good’ CQC rating in place as of the home’s first inspection in 2021, Sam and her management team are keen to lead the home towards the next big challenge: achieving an ‘Outstanding’ rating.
Sam said:
“Striving towards an ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating is something that I am encouraging across the whole team.
“We are all working hard to provide the best possible care to older people who choose to live at The Orchards and I am excited to see what we can achieve together.”
Lea added:
“The Orchards has an incredible team of individuals who really care about the residents. I believe in an open-door management policy, where team members are able to come and talk over any concerns.”
Ivan said:
“One thing I have learned in my 20 years of experience in care is that sharing knowledge and learning together as a team is crucial, as this helps improve our residents’ experience overall.”
