We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty the Queen.
Her Majesty was a patron of the organisation we emerged from, the Women’s Royal Voluntary Service, and a committed supporter of many charitable causes. We particularly thank her for her championing of older people throughout her reign.
For many in the UK and further afield, The Queen has been a constant in our lives. Her reign was defined by an unwavering sense of commitment to her people. Like the millions of older people in our country today, she was a cherished, living reminder of our collective past. Her presence will be greatly missed.
We mourn the loss of a great sovereign who put care and service at the heart of her life.
