- The not-for-profit organisation shows continued commitment to driving for change and quality
- The year saw the leading group taking innovative steps to expand its impact beyond its homes
London, 14 November 2024 – Leading not-for-profit care group Greensleeves Care has unveiled its latest Social Impact Report, spotlighting achievements that enhance the quality of life for residents, empower staff, and foster positive change in communities and the environment.
Reflecting on progress made in the last completed financial year (2023-24), this annual publication showcases how Greensleeves Care continues to make strides in delivering compassionate, person-centred care that helps people feel good about care.
Key highlights from the report:
- Enhanced quality of care: Satisfaction scores climbed, with 96% of residents expressing happiness with the care they receive. The organisation also started on its commitment to achieving Gold Standards Framework accreditation for exceptional end-of-life care across all its homes.
- Supporting and recognising staff excellence: Greensleeves Care continued to see and reward long tenure, with turnover below the industry average and 159 team members recognised with awards for between 5 and 30 years of dedicated service. The group also bolstered staff well-being, including by introducing a new “Menopause at Work” policy and increasing access to its app-based mental health support service.
- Expanding impact with community outreach and advocacy: This year the organisation has taken a shift to expand its impact well outside its walls, launching two nation-wide outreach and engagement campaigns to demystify care and support care-seekers, including the award-nominated “Keys to Open Minds” campaign.
- Strides towards greater sustainability: The 28-home group continued to work on its Net Zero agenda, migrating more of its energy supply to renewable sources and raising recycling rates from 49% to 74%.
Chief Executive of Greensleeves Care, Paul Newman, remarked:
