Greensleeves Care has been named as a Top 20 Large Care Home Group by Carehome.co.uk, of which only four other non-profit care organisations were listed.
Five of Greensleeves Care’s homes also achieved top 20 awards in their respective regions, including Harleston House and Broadlands in the East of England category, both of which are rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC.”
The awards are based on the care home organisations’ overall scores out of 10, which are made up of each of their individual care homes’ review scores. Reviews are submitted by residents and their families, and cannot be edited or removed by care organisations, and are therefore seen as an accurate and honest portrayal of UK care homes.
In fact, many families will base their decisions about their loved ones’ care home placement on its carehome.co.uk reviews.
Greensleeves Care’s overall rating currently stands at 9.6 out of 10, a score which is comprised of 771 reviews across its 25 care homes.
Julie Clarges, Director of Quality and Compliance at Greensleeves Care said of the news:
“Being named as a Top 20 care provider by Carehome.co.uk is extremely important to us as an organisation. One of our core values is openness, and the fact that we have earned this award through reviews from residents and their friends and family gives us a huge sense of pride.”
The fact that Greensleeves Care was one of only 5 charities in this top 20 listing is certainly something to celebrate, as non-profit organisations are often overlooked in favour of private companies which saturate the market.
Paul Newman, Chief Executive Officer at Greensleeves Care, said:
“Greensleeves Care believes that positive, direct feedback from residents and families is one of the key markers of high-quality care. Congratulations and a huge thanks to my Greensleeves Care colleagues for their steadfast work throughout 2020.
Despite the unprecedented challenges, we maintained our position as one of the Top 20 large care groups, with over 20% of our homes being individual winners in their respective regions.”
Other awards for Greensleeves Care included Speirs House being named as one of the Top 20 Care Homes in the entirety of London, as well as four of its homes being in the Top 20 Care Homes in the East of England: De Lucy House, Harleston House, Broadlands, and Sharnbrook House.
