Sharnbrook House, a not-for-profit Greensleeves Care home in Sharnbrook, Bedfordshire, hosted a Christmas Fayre for the local community and beyond last Friday.
The home offered space to local businesses to hold stalls at the event, including Christmas crafts, and Father Christmas himself arrived in his sleigh and gave a gift to all the children.
A raffle was held with some fabulous prizes kindly donated by local businesses, from which £238 was raised for the Residents’ Amenity Fund, which goes towards special trips and equipment for the home’s residents.
The Sharnbrook Community Choir performed for the residents and their families, and the Christmas Spirit was felt all round.
Inesa Jones, Home Manager of Sharnbrook House, said:
“It was a lovely community gathering enjoyed by all who came, we have had lots of positive feedback from our residents, their families and friends, and the village community. We are so glad that we can make connections within the local area, as it’s so important to our residents to have a sense of community in the home. We cannot thank everybody enough for attending, volunteering and donating.”
The team at Sharnbrook House would like to thank the following local businesses for kindly donating raffle prizes or helping out with the event:
The Abrahams Farm Shop
Nisa
Sharnbrook Community Sports Centre
Guy Chippendale
Sharnbrook Co-op
