Big Warm Up is the first celebration of its kind, bringing people together for a chance to cosy up this cold season and honour those who care.
Part of our Warmth of Care campaign, the not-for-profit initiative is free and open to all!

Our homes will be hosting special afternoons designed to boost community and togetherness in a cosy setting. Enjoy comforting drinks and indulgent treats alongside activities – from shows to exhibitions – designed to inspire, move and pay tribute to warmth and care.

Everyone can be part of Greensleeves Care’s Big Warm Up! The celebrations and activities are designed to be enjoyed by all, whether you are 0 or 99 (and well beyond!). Simply take a look at what’s on in your area and join in the fun.

Bedfordshire
Sharnbrook House (Sharnbrook)
- On 25 January, join us from 3pm for a fantastic afternoon of refreshments, togetherness – and art! Visit our special gallery and enjoy unique artworks created by local businesses around the themes of winter warmth and care. Judged by residents, the best creations will get some very special prizes. Free and open to all.
Berkshire
- Join us at 2.30 pm for a relaxing afternoon tea. Unwind, enjoy great company, and indulge in delicious treats, warm beverages, and music. If you’d like to support our Warmth of Care campaign, please consider donating winter essentials such as blankets, hats, gloves, and scarves—to help make a difference for those in need. This event is free and open to all.

- Join us from 11 am for our delightful Coffee Morning where we will share cherished winter memories while enjoying delicious warm beverages. Cambridgeshire

- Join us from 2 pm as we host a delightful Afternoon Tea Party featuring live entertainment from the wonderful Banjo Man. This provides the opportunity to connect with others within our community. Delicious food and warm beverages will be available on the day. This event is completely free and open to everyone.
East Suffolk

- Join us at 2.30 pm to hear the inspiring sounds of Suffolk bagpipes, followed by an indoor gathering to address the Haggis. Next, warm up with a 15-minute Zumbathon before being treated to Suffolk’s vintage duo “The Vibettes” followed delicious warm beverages and snacks. Free and open to all.
Hampshire
- On 25 January, we’re hosting an afternoon of fun, friendly competitions and heartwarming acts – all in celebration of Big Warm Up. Clarendon Lodge (Rickmansworth)
- Join us at 11.30am to participate in a sponsored Winter Walkaround around our central courtyard to raise vital funds for our local homeless charity ‘New Hope’. Then warm up to a cosy afternoon tea, scrumptious treats, and warm beverages. Free and open to all.
Isle of Wight

- Join us from 10am for a welcome and concert featuring live entertainment, followed by a midday (12-1.30 pm) visit to Acton’s homeless centre to share donations. Then return to Torkington for a delightful spread of afternoon tea, cakes, and conversation 2–3pm. Free and open to all.
Viera Gray House (Barnes)
- Join us for a full day to celebrate warmth and caring! Our Big Warm Up will start at 10am with a tea and coffee morning followed by a resident ‘Winter Fashion Show’ and a yummy buffet lunch from 12pm. In the afternoon, we will be unveiling a very special surprise and enjoy musical entertainment from the Old World Melodies.
Norfolk
- We are partnering with our local church to host a coffee morning! Come for warm drinks, delicious homemade cakes, and good company as we get together and meet new people and share, reminisce, and share our stories and experiences. Grosvenor House (St Leonards-on-Sea)
- Join us at 2.30pm for a lively afternoon of fun and togetherness. Our special guests will treat us to accordion tunes and familiar songs everyone can enjoy. We’ll also have a delicious spread, including haggis, shortbread, and drinks. Free and open to all.
- We’re celebrating Big Warm Up with a Scottish-themed afternoon tea party, complete with a special visit from Rosie, the little white pony. Everyone in the local community is warmly invited to join us from 2pm. Free and open to all.
Warwickshire
- Join our Big Warm Up afternoon tea event and participate in our community knit-a-thon! Take part in our friendly competition and collaborate with our residents to come up with unique creations.
